Our Applecross Facility
Our Applecross facility is a purpose built, state-of-the-art Recirculation Aquaculture System (RAS) on the remote peninsula of Wester Ross in the Highlands.
This significant investment gives Bakkafrost Scotland greater control of the freshwater rearing environment and underlines our ambition to be the leading and most sustainable salmon producer in Scotland.
Site overview
- When complete, the facility will run on 100% renewable energy, using solar panels and hydropower plans to make up 75% of the energy mix.
