Our people are our greatest asset.
Our people are at the heart of our business
As a major employer with 60 sites across the West Coast of Scotland and Hebridean Islands, we respect the role that salmon farming plays in the remote and rural areas in which we operate.
We are committed to helping our communities to grow with us and strive to provide quality employment in these rural areas, development opportunities for all of our employees and to engage with local schools and communities to raise awareness of our industry and the diverse range of careers and opportunities available with Bakkafrost Scotland.
Support & Head Office
In addition to our operational opportunities across the business, we have a range of rewarding careers in our support functions. Based both in our Edinburgh Head Office and across the beautiful West Coast of Scotland, click below to find out more info:
Apprenticeships and young people
We are proud to invest in our modern apprenticeship program which provides opportunities for all ages.
Our apprenticeships teach the knowledge and skills that support well paid, skilled employment in rural communities across Scotland. The program enables you to gain invaluable work experience along with professional qualifications, all whilst earning a salary.
We give each of our modern apprentices a fantastic foundation to kick start their career in aquaculture and currently offer more than 4 different apprenticeships with 44 employees currently in the program.
