The winners of this year’s ‘Golden Fish’ competition, sponsored by The Scottish Salmon Company, have been announced at a world-renowned trade show in Lyon, France.
The competition, now in it is twentieth year, was held at the Salon International de la Restauration, de l'Hôtellerie et de l'Alimentation (SIRHA) event and tasked six master fishmongers to compete for the title by preparing and presenting The Scottish Salmon Company’s Tartan Salmon Label Rouge, in addition to testing knowledge-based questions.
In first place was Sonia Bichet, followed by Antoine Gerardin in second place and Gwenael Laville, who was awarded third place.
And the competitors faced a panel of judges, who looked for an exceptionally high standard of work.
SIRHA is a world-renowned hospitality and food service event, which takes place in Lyon every two years and showcases the very best of the industry over five days with more than 3,000 international exhibitors.
