BAKKAFROST SCOTLAND BRANDS CELEBRATED AT THE ‘OSCARS OF THE FOOD WORLD’

Three of Bakkafrost Scotland’s smoked salmon products have received prestigious awards at what is often referred to as the 'Oscars of the food world.'

Native Hebridean Smoked Scottish Salmon, Lightly Smoked Fresh Scottish Salmon Fillet, and Harris & Lewis Smoked Scottish Salmon were all recognised at the awards.

The Great Taste Awards are organised by the Guild of Fine Food which is the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink around the world. Great Taste is the world’s largest and most reputable food and drink accreditation scheme. The award scheme is well known for the rigorous judging process, which involves a panel of over 500 expert judges, including chefs, food critics, food writers, and industry professionals. The judges, blind taste the products in teams of three or four to ensure the star ratings are generated by a balanced panel in terms of expertise, age, and gender.
